Alessia Travaglini

Alessia Travaglini partecipa a un Erasmus in Inghilterra presso l'University of Cumbria e frequenta il corso di Perfezionamento in Cinema dʼAnimazione presso l'ISA, la Suola del libro di Urbino. È immediatamente affascinata dalla tecnica delle immagini in sequenza. Da allora continua a esplorare quel mondo come potente forma di comunicazione.
Eterna viaggiatrice e sperimentatrice, la sua attività artistica si muove attraverso diversi medium espressivi come il disegno, la fotografia e il video.
Nel 2006 inizia la sua ricerca nel campo dell'animazione, il Ministero dell'Istruzione e della Ricerca assegna al suo primo cortometraggio The Choice il Premio Nazionale della Arti (sezione Arte Digitale). Nel 2009 collabora con ConiglioViola allo spettacolo Concerto Senza Titolo, interpretato dalla splendida voce di Antonella Ruggiero e l'anno seguente prende parte al progetto itinerante sui diritti umani "This is not a plate", prodotto dalla casa di produzione artistica londinese Moving Universe Productions. Nel 2011 vince il bando MITICI Milano Talenti Creativi che le permette di realizzare il cortometraggio animato Silenziosa-Mente, lavoro apprezzato e premiato nel panorama dell'animazione e del cinema internazionale.
Dal 2014 al 2017 collabora con Simone Massi e lavora a diversi documentari come direttrice Layout, animatrice 2D/3D e al Compositing. Dal 2016 vive e lavora Parigi.

It was during an Erasmus programme experience in England at the University of Cumbria and after attending the Cinema and Animation specialization course at the Art Institute of Urbino, that the technique of moving images and its role in the Film and Animation first appealed to Alessia. Since then, she went on researching ways to explore that world as a powerful form of communication.
Eternal traveler and experimenter her artistic activity moves through different mediums of expression such as drawing, photography and video installations.
In 2006 she started to experiment with animation to the point that her first short film “The Choice” won the National Prize of Arts (Digital Art section) in Italy, then in 2009 she worked with ConiglioViola for the “Untitled Concert” theatre play, performed by the magic voice of Antonella Ruggiero. During 2010 she took part in the traveling human rights project called "This is not a plate" produced by the London art house "Moving Universe Productions" and one year after she won the MITICI Milano Talenti Creativi competition that allows her to create the animated short film "Silenziosa-Mente", a work praised and awarded in the international panorama of animation and cinema.
From 2014 to 2017 she collaborated with Simone Massi and she worked for different documentary films as Layout Supervisor, 2D/3D animator and VFX artist; in 2016 she moved to Paris.
